Wizkid Is For People That Has Gone Through Life And Are Now On A Stable Plane
I was walking inside my old campus listening to "Time" by Wizkid and I've recently wanted to write something about him lately and I couldn't figure it out till now.
The Wizkid Wonder: Afrobeats' Golden Child
Wizkid, Wizkid, Wizkid – the name is synonymous with Afrobeats excellence. This Nigerian superstar has been making waves in the music industry since he was a teenager, and we can't get enough of him!
With his smooth vocals, slick dance moves, and bold fashion sense, Wizkid is the ultimate Afrobeats heartthrob. And let's not forget that iconic smile – it's enough to melt hearts!
But Wizkid's success isn't just about his charm (although, let's be real, it's a big part of it). He's a talented artist who has worked tirelessly to put Afrobeats on the global map. From collaborating with international artists like Drake and Beyoncé to selling out shows worldwide, Wizkid is the true embodiment of Afrobeats' global appeal.
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "I miss the old Wizkid." And, honestly, I get it. His sound has evolved over the years, and it's natural to feel a sense of nostalgia for the Wizkid of old. But, here's the thing: change is constant, and Wizkid's sound has changed because he's in a different place in life.
You can't expect the same sound from the Wizkid who was hustling on the streets of Lagos as you would from the Wizkid who's now a global superstar. It's just not realistic. And, let's be real, if you're still expecting him to make the same kind of music he made 5-10 years ago, you might be stuck in the past.
That being said, I'm not here to judge. If you don't like Wizkid's new sound, that's okay. Music is subjective, and what resonates with one person might not resonate with another. But, what I will say is that Wizkid's new sound is not for everyone – and that's what makes it so special.
You have to be in a certain plane of life to understand and appreciate his new sound. It's like trying to explain a sunset to someone who's never seen one before. You can try to describe the colors, the feeling, the atmosphere, but until they experience it for themselves, they'll never truly get it.
Personally, I've found solace in Wizkid's recent album, particularly in songs like ["Time" or "Lose" or "Pray" ]. There's something about the soothing melodies and introspective lyrics that has helped calm the storm of emotions in my head. It's like Wizkid is speaking directly to my soul, reminding me to breathe, to relax, and to trust the process.
So, take it or leave it. Wizkid still makes good music, and if you're not feeling his new vibe, that's okay. But, for those of us who are on the same wavelength, we know that Wizkid's music is more than just a beat – it's an experience.
And, on a final note, I'm always ready to banter against Wizkid for entertainment purposes only. So, Starboy fans, don't come for me!
Quirky Facts:
1. Wizkid's real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, but we're pretty sure his stage name is more fitting for a superstar.
2. He's been making music since he was 11 years old! Talk about starting early.
3. Wizkid has collaborated with international artists like Drake, Beyoncé, and Kanye West. We're pretty sure he's the coolest kid on the block.
Signature Moves:
1. That iconic Wizkid smile – it's contagious!
2. His smooth, slick dance moves – who else can make Afrobeats look so effortless?
3. His bold fashion sense – Wizkid's style is always on point!
Long live the Wizkid Wonder!
